Rare mid-century anatomical teaching display produced by Ward’s Natural Science Establishment and Girard Models, both of New York.
This large 22" x 28" wooden wall-mounted display features 10 plaster skull models illustrating the historical concept of the “Evolution of the Human Skull,” progressing from fish through man. The original identification key is included with the display.
This impressive educational model originally came from a college science and anatomy collection and would make an exceptional addition to a collection of vintage anatomical models, natural-history displays, educational artifacts, or medical/scientific memorabilia.
The display has a wonderful mid-century educational-institution appearance and is an excellent example of the types of three-dimensional teaching models once used in classrooms and laboratories.
