vintage Somso anatomical model
RECONSTRUCTION OF AN AUSTRALOPITHECUS SKULL.
Made by Somso in Bavaria, Germany We are not sure of the date but think it is probably 1980S/90S.
This fantastic model is natural cast, in SOMSO-Plast® the lower jaw is movable.It is a life- like reproduction of an Australopithecus skull found in Trasvaal in South Africa in 1947.
Age: Lower Pleistocene
The set of teeth and lower jaw were reconstructed with the help of other finds from the area.
Separates into 2 parts.

CONDITION
This is a genuine vintage and as with any vintage item there may be signs of wear, whilst the overall condition is excellent there may a few chips and cosmetic marks
Obviously this item is not new, it has been used in classrooms so there may be some light cosmetic wear, I have tried to photograph any wear I could see such a flaking paint, cracks or chips so please do check all photos carefully. We have two of these casts available. They may vary slightly.
