Tersomius Skull cast replica (AMNH FR 4719?)
Tersomius is an extinct genus of dissorophoid temnospondyl within the family Micropholidae. It is known from the early Permian of North America (Oklahoma and Texas).

Belonging to Order Temnospondyli, Sub-order Rhachitomi, in the superfamily Eryopoidea, which as the name implies makes it a close relative of Eryops, a giant by comparison. Tersomius had a skull of only a little over one inch long, making This one is therefore only a juvenile or a young adult. This is the best skull of this Species ever discovered.
