Museum Quality Cast (Replica) of Fossil Bird (Eocene Age) bird cast replica
Museum-Quality Cast of Fossil Bird
Species: Gallinuloides sp.
Green River Formation
Eocene Epoch
Lincoln County, Wyoming
Bird fossils are rare, especially exquisitely preserved specimens such as this museum-quality cast of a quail-like bird (Galliformes family) from the Eocene Green River formation. It was carefully cast in high-strength gypsum cement from a mold of the original fossil, and hand painted to faithfully reproduce the appearance of the original specimen, including the delicate claws on the feet. The cast is approximately 6 x 6 inches. It includes a hanger on the back and full identification label.
This would make a great addition to any fossil collection, a wonderful conversation piece, and a perfect gift for any science and nature lover.
