Rare cast of the hadrosaur Saurolophus. Asian egg nest
Species: Saurolophus angustirostres
Saurolophus was a large 35 ft herbivore. It was 18' tall and had a flat-head. It had a huge battery of chisel-like teeth designed to grind plants. Only 10 skulls and 1 skeleton were ever found.
Saurolophus appears to be rarer than other hadrosaurs in the fossil record.
Geologic strata: Kaoguo Formation
The original fossil was discovered in Upper Asia –Xixan Basin, Henan Providence, China
Hadrosaur Saurolophus 12" Diameter Eggs. This is an amazing nest with 4 eggs, each had a nearly complete shell.
It's light gray color of the eggshell is unusual.
It is possible that further dinosaur remains could have been inside.
